Dont waste your money

Sure its only $1.99, but it doesnt work at all. When I access the app, none of the training days are visible. It is essentially a blank screen. What a waste and a big disappointment.

Disappointment

This app does not deliver. I am a new runner and was looking for something user friendly and reliable. This app is neither. The voice prompt often does not come on (telling me when to walk or run), and the app does not keep track of anytime but time.

Horrible app

Dont waste your time in this app. The voice control doesnt even stay on when your screen is on sleep mode. Worst 2 bucks wasted.

Needs a bug fix

I like the App, but the last two times I used it, the voice to indicate when to run and when to walk didnt activate.

Review

Really like this ap except that the voice isnt very loud when it tells you to run or walk - sometimes cant hear the voice at all. When it works, its a great ap.

Good app

Its a good app, works just fine. Would be a great app with a couple enhancements! If I could turn the music off and still have voice prompts for when Im on the treadmill and if I could have voice prompts when Im outside and my phone is off. It also crashes if I try to edit the details for my treadmill runs.

App

App crashes everytime review option shows up. But I like the program when it works.

Perfect for beginners

Half marathon trainer is just perfect for beginners. It is simple to use and nothing hard to learn and got a plenty of features included to keep motivating to run for hope.

Tons of features

I had my experience with this app recently and just happy to see the features included in it. This is great. Keep up the good work.

Enjoying it

Half marathon trainer is so motivational. Each day I am learning something about this app. Thanks for this app and enjoying it.

Works if you stick to it

The apps instructions are the best but to reach the goal you need to stick to it and your performance increases gradually.

The best

This is by far the best running app I have ever come through. The interface and the graphics look stunning.

Happy to have this app!

I have a good experience of this app, happy to have such an amazing run app.

Glad to get it

I am very glad to have Half Marathon trainer and the app is really very motivating. Thanks and run for hope..

My new personal coach

This is very interesting about this app that the interface works so smooth and alternatively the audio coaching works without freezing. Half marathon has become my best personal trainer.

Doesnt work with my Bluetooth earbuds

I generally like this app, but it doesnt work with my Bluetooth earbuds. Every time the timer switches from jog to walk, it cuts off my feed from the earbuds. Would give this a 5/5 if you guys could fix that!

Frustrated beyond belief!

I can not hear the prompts when Im listening to music through the ap. I went to my sounds settings and I cant find anywhere where you can increase the volume. Very frustrating!! Also after I finish a run I go to my history and its not there!!! Let me know if anyone knows how to fix this!

Disappointed.

With a generic name like Half marathon trainer I really expected more. This app is simply a collection of workouts laid out on a 12 week schedule. If you have more or less time, this thing is kind of pointless. Also I see no way to clear out history to start new trials. Wish list for features: Save stats - pace and times for previous training runs. This helps with improving PR times. Make this savable per session. Deadline - the curve is well known. You start low miles and increase over time and taper off approaching the event. Allow it so a user can input start date and event date. Use that to calculate a training schedule. Most people give themselves much more or much less time than 12 weeks. Those are key features I was looking for. This app is too simple for the $2 price tag. Expected a little more depth. Full disclosure: I have not used the app and only browsed the interface to be disappointed by the lack of features.

Good schedule, crappy programming

As a beginner, the cues/tips on the schedule are great. Its encouraging because it feels manageable too. That said, this app doesnt save my run data, which I really want/need if Im going to be serious about running. To me, if I pay for an app (ESP over $.99), I shouldnt have to have another app running to verify my run. I will use it because the schedule works, but Ill use run keeper in the background since the app doesnt actually give me any feedback at all.

A decent app

I am running my first half marathon in May and am using this to help train. The workout schedule provides increasing duration over the time frame. The few bugs about it are: 1. It doesnt keep track of my history, cant figure out why 2. The voice prompts start with the change in the workout - it would be better if it prompted prior to the change and then countdown 3-2-1 now. 3. There is no voice prompt at the completion of the workout letting you know you are finished. Other than those bugs, its not a bad app to start your training.
